The Tara Master Association, Inc. (TMA) was turned over to the homeowners of
Phase I and Phase II of the Tara Community in May, 2005. The Association
includes The Tara Golf and Country Club, The Plantations and The Preserve at
Tara.
The primary function and responsibility of the TMA is to maintain the landscaping,
specified signage, and certain lighting of Tara Boulevard from State Road 70
south to Tara Preserve Lane. The Association also negotiates the bulk cable
television contract for the entire geographical area of the Association. The
responsibilities also includes enforcement of deed restrictions and architectural
and landscape control. The Association is governed by a seven person Board of
Directors.
The TMA includes The Tara Golf and Country Club members, 148 Phase I unit
owners, The Plantations, the six condominium complexes in the Preserve, and the
Golf Villas Landscape Association which are considered umbrella or secondary
associations and are also regulated by their own set of documents. They all
share the benefits of the Master Association, for example, the beautiful Tara
Boulevard landscape and the significantly lowered cost of cable television.
A very important arm of the Master Association is the Preserve Architectural
Review Committee (PARC). This Committee carries the distinct responsibility of
assuring continued building and landscape beauty and deed integrity of all
property located within the Association. The Association Board of Directors looks
to this Committee to investigate homeowner requests for deviations to restrictions
listed in the documents and coordinate the response to any infractions.
Because the expense of maintaining and insuring Association commons property
obligations and professional managerial functions the TMA is required to assess
all homeowners (single family and condominium owners) an annual fee to cover
such expenses. The budget for the current year is available on this web site by
selecting Budget.
Meetings of the Board of Directors are usually quarterly and are open to all
members of the Master Association. Members are encouraged to attend Board
meetings. Dates and times of the meetings are posted on TV channels 57 and 60.
